Maine photo journal: Portland

Ayer fui a Portland a visitar la ciudad un rato, pero aún así pude ver lo bonita que es. Estuve en el Portland Museum of Art, en el que se encuentra una colección de obras de Richard Estes, un hiperrealista del que nunca había oído hablar pero que me gustó mucho, pero también me gustaron las obras de Andrea Sulzer y George Daniell. Después di una vuelta por Congress Street, que es la calle en la que se encuentran la mayoría de las galerías de arte, todas pequeñas pero muy originales y bonitas. Y qué decir del ambiente que se respiraba allí: la gente en las terrazas, comiendo, bebiendo y charlando y disfrutando del buen tiempo, lo que creo haber recogido en algunas de las fotos.

Yesterday I went to Portland for a while and I got to go to the Portland Museum of Art. I loved the realism in Richard Estes' paintings, but also enjoyed the naturalist-abstract masterpieces of Andrea Sulzer and the simple yet complex drawings of George Daniell, followed by his photographs of Monhegan's island. After visiting the museum I walked down Congress Street and got to see all of these little galleries and bars which I loved, they were cozy and friendly but at the same time outrageous and wonderful. In addition the atmosphere around there was awesome: all surrounded by people hanging out with their friends or family, enjoying their meals and the good weather too. I think I picked it all up in some of the pictures below.
